As such, the Federal and State Government have assisted in funding both metropolitan and regional indoor stadiums suitable for the premium competitions in both basketball and netball, but also catering to lesser sports such as volleyball, gymnastics, futsal, badminton, and other sports.

Sports Flooring for Schools and Colleges

For nearly 20 years, Nellakir has installed premium timber sports flooring in both private and state schools. In many cases the resultant area is multipurpose, being used for sports activities and indoor assembly.

At schools such as St Kevin’s in Toorak, Parade College in Bundoora, Camberwell Grammar, Mazenod College Mulgrave, and St Francis Xavier College in Beaconsfield, the flooring is premium Sprung Timber Flooring supplied by ASF Horner and installed by Nellakir.

At State Government schools, the flooring supplied is often utilised as an indoor assembly area while carrying line markings for basketball, netball, and other indoor sports. Nellakir has worked on a considerable number of such schools being constructed by the Victorian State Government in its current schools building programme.

Custom Design Sports Flooring

Some locations require customised modifications of the subfloor components of the patented timber flooring systems we utilise to suit the needs of a particular facility. This can range from engineering changes to meet varying surface heights abutting the flooring to providing stronger load-bearing capacities where flooring supports retractable seating units or heavy plant and machinery.

Church flooring, staging in performance theatres, and other unusual applications can be customised to suit the needs of the users. Nellakir are genuinely experienced in such modifications and unique engineering for premium performance of all sprung timber flooring.

Timber overlay systems on existing flooring can be custom designed by Nellakir. An ASF ‘overlay’ will refurbish and rejuvenate an existing dated timber flooring system, returning functionality and durability for a minimal financial commitment.
